Joan Jett announces The Replacements as Best Band, & they cut to the remote in which Westerberg is on the phone with his pa trying to get a ride, but it’s not possible due to “bowling night.” Funny shit. Paul, Tommy & Chris got their monkey suits on & nowhere to go. It’s one of my fave “bits” & I bet Letterman would’ve loved it.
