“Somewhere on a CD of unreleased Mats stuff I’ve got, there’s a short snippet (like fifteen seconds maybe) of an alternate version of Seen Your Video with complete vocals throughout. Anybody know if that exists in its entirety somewhere?”

It’s called “You Look Like An Adult”.
I’ve heard it on live bootlegs, but I don’t know if there’s a studio version.

Maybe the omission of “Street Girl” etc. from the reissues mean their WILL be a box set and they had to save a few of these rarities for that.

Hey Placemat, I was hoping you had the story on “You’re Pretty When You’re Rude” – timeline, etc. – cuz I’m not so sure.

I also dig “Kansas City Star” and a lewd ditty they used to perform called “Lift Her Skirt.” The latter off of the Mats unreleased Christmas album.

Hells yeah, “Hard to Wave in Handcuffs” is a dangerous track, which is part of its greatness. There’s a moment where Westerberg loses his shit & you don’t know where he’s going & it’s transcendent. That cat Westerberg swings.
