I really have grown to despise Pitchfork with their indie-than-thou pronouncements. They seem to be the cool indie kids of high school they ‘Mats never were. However, this was a pretty good review. Although, ASD is still a personal fave of mine, but hey, I had just gotten out of rehab so maybe I dug it’s tired hangover feel! 😉

For once, Pitchfork gets it right. All shook down deserves the lousy rating. After listening to all the reissues, that album just feels so listless.
I thought i would feel the same about dont tell a soul, but that just aged better for me. As Ive said though, I would kill to hear that album with the original mix.
