I buckled and ordered one of the $249 melody makers. I recall a previous phone in special on them for $300 and I almost did that, so I think fate just wants me to have one. I need a bucker axe, though, anyone know if minihumbuckers fit into the route? I heard it requires some modding even for minibuckers.

one tip, though — I had to do some real prying to get the associate to find the $249 deal. for a while she was pretty convinced I was imagining it. she eventually found it, though, and she said it ends july 26th, so if you want it, and they are saying no, be persistent.

I called the, spoke with a sales rep, and told her that I’d heard of a call-in sale, and she quoted me the 489 price as listed on their web site. I hear you can get one “free” if you by a les paul studio guitar which is far from free..

Does blasty have the ad that stated the call in special price? I thought I inquired correctly, but one never knows for sure.

If anyone is considering buying a Gibson Melody maker, Musician’s Friend has the worn white models as a call in only special at $249. If I didn’t already have one, I would jump on this in a second.
