From adweek.com, news of a possible upcoming Twin Cities show to be featured in Miller Brewing online advertising.
The series began last week in San Diego with Jim James, the singer and principal songwriter for My Morning Jacket. Other artists will include Patty Griffin, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and Paul Westerberg in cities such as San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis and Seattle, which are considered key markets for MGD. In all, 12 shows are planned over the next 11 months.
So is Paul gonna play with Ben Gibbard? Because if so, I might just die right now.
That’s an obvious marketing partnership… PW and beer.
Sounds like a pretty cool idea in general though I wonder how they picked the artists. Not that there is anything wrong with the ones they mentioned. I just hope Kip Winger is included.
Joey Ramone what in the hell are you doing to make your comments black?
Also, if Ben Gibbard and Paul Westerberg played together, I would have the orgasm heard round the world.
This is cool news. &, I heard it here 1st.
I AM A GODDESS! I fixed the comments, I fixed the comments
you know what would be cool? if paul & dippity doo or some such hair styling company entered into a marketing agreement. what DOES he use in his hair, anyway?
I think Paul goes au natural and just uses his own greasy, grimy goodness.
what about his wife, though? what’s HER deal? i heard she wrote a book or something.
