First of all, holy shit! How did it get to be 9 o’clock? Last time I checked it was about 11 in the morning. Time flies when you’re laying in bed with a headache the size of Montana threatening to shoot your left eyeball from your skull.
Second of all, youtube failed me. I searched and searched and searched (for like three entire minutes) and couldn’t find the Paul Westerberg on SNL clip. I failed you. I hope you can carry on under the heavy burden of your disappointment.
Awesome video. Is that the same Gibson sg he used back in the 7th street entry video? I always wondered if he still had it.
It is just staggering how he is still able to bleed out that song nearly a quarter-century later. Amazing rendition – I still have chills.
pleased to meet me as good as tim?!?! please people…YOU ARE KILLING ME!
Poor Bob is just rolling around in circles down there….
Holy Crap. I didn’t think it’d be that close, much less tied. Oh the sweet, sweet agony.
Yes. I demand a bracket. I wanna settle this with ranks.
Does anyone have any idea about the guitar?
Bracket is coming! Actually the bracket itself is done (and I’m sure some of my seedings will be controversial) and I just have to get it all setup and uploaded.
I’ve no idea about the guitar, Jake.
Jake, I’ll send in Wolfdogg or Blasty, they’d know.
Yeah, Blasty.
I’m not sure if it’s the exact same one as from the entry video, but I’m pretty sure it’s the one he destroyed at the Pantages in 2004.
His wife, the lovely Laurie Lindeen, played an SG when she was in Zuzu’s Petals. Maybe it’s hers.
And that really hurt watching him destroy that SG in MPLS. “It’s only wire and wood.” I hope that his sunburst LP Junior never pisses him off.
Thanks Blasty, I just won some bank. Now how ’bout you putting up a bracket of the best Zuzu’s Petals albums?
chills and choked up watching that. Love hearing that song on electric, somehow making it feel even more raw. Its the song that sold me on Mr W.
hey Blasty, whaddya think of X?
I’d be willing to wager Blasty’s favorite band is X.
X is coming to this town, I’ll see them, but its starting to feel like attending an “oldies” act since they only play X songs which are typically over 20 years old!
Is this going to turn into a Beach Boy type things for punkers instead of 60s surf fans?
