I’m in pouty mcpout pout mode because I didn’t get into a writing program I wanted to get into. For some reason whenever I’m all sad and mopey, I turn to this song (that’s only after The Smiths start to annoy me, and frankly, let’s be real that takes roughly 11 minutes).
I think it’s the line, “now whatever makes you happy, I’m pretty sure it isn’t me.” Slays me every.single.time.
I love this song…puts a smile on my face.
Really? I think it’s so sad.
I just love that this was shot in his bathroom, sunglasses and all. Great performance, really dig the rhyme scheme. Only complaint is that he doesn’t show his fretting hand…
It always makes me smile,I have no idea why. Maybe because it is more upbeat musically than the lyrics imply.
It makes me both happy and sad. The music is definitely upbeat but that line that Jodi quoted gets me all the time too. I so miss seeing Paul live.
I think The Smiths are pure gold, but that’s me.
How dare you put down the Smiths. Just the sweet and sad sound of Johnny Marr’s guitar alone could make a grown man cry any day… any day…
Didn’t you get the memo? I will dare.
